"I had a very disappointing experience with this office. I initially obtained a renters insurance quote online and called only to ask about the available discount. Instead, the agent created a new policy using my old address and made it effective immediately without confirming either the correct property address or the desired policy start date with me.
As a result of this error, I am now paying significantly more than the price I was originally quoted. When I asked why my premium increased and whether the amount I paid for the incorrect policy would be applied toward my current policy, I did not receive a clear explanation. Instead, I was told the issue was my fault because I mentioned the address I was moving from, even though I was not asked to confirm where the new policy should be written or when it should begin.
I am currently paying about $31 for a policy that I was originally quoted at approximately $12 per month, and no one has adequately explained why I was charged for the incorrectly issued policy or how those charges were calculated. I have attached a screenshot of the response I received so others can judge the level of customer service for themselves."
